A selection of weather model parameters, including aviation parameters. It concerns near surface and boundary layer parameters (up to ~3000m) of the UWC-West HARMONIE-AROME Cy43 model, for the Dutch domain. For this weather forecast model, KNMI works closely with Iceland, Denmark and Ireland on local short-term weather forecasts under the name "United Weather Centres-West" (UWC-West). An international project team is working on a joint Numerical Weather Prediction model (NWP), procurement and management of the HPC (supercomputer) and infrastructure. Every hour 18 new files will be available, each with one parameter. The parameters are: wind gusts at 10m, wind speed at 10m and multiple levels up to ~3000m, wind as a vector at 10m (both speed and direction) and multiple levels up to ~3000m, air temperature at 2m, air pressure at MSL (mean sea level), relative humidity, precipitation parameters, cloud base altitude, visibility, mixed layer depth, absolute updraft helicity, thermal velocity, W/U (vertical velocity scale of thermals normalized with a horizontal turbulent velocity scale), wet bulb globe temperature (note that this output parameter is experimental, please be aware that it may undergo changes or be discontinued or removed at any time without prior notice). The forecast time resolution is 1 hour, with a forecast horizon of 60 hours.

Een selectie van weermodel parameters, inclusief luchtvaart parameters. Het betreft parameters nabij het aardoppervlak en in de grenslaag (tot ~3000m) van het UWC-West HARMONIE-AROME Cy43 model voor het Nederlandse domein. Elk uur zijn er 18 nieuwe files beschikbaar, elk met een parameter. Voor dit weersverwachtingsmodel, werkt het KNMI nauw samen met IJsland, Denemarken en Ierland aan lokale korte-termijn weersverwachtingen, onder de naam "United Weather Centres-West" (UWC-West). Een internationaal projectteam werkt aan een gezamenlijk Numerical Weather Prediction model (NWP), aanschaf en onderhoud van de HPC (supercomputer) en infrastructuur. De parameters zijn: windstoten op 10m, windsnelheid op 10m en meerdere hoogtes tot ~3000m, wind als vector at 10m (zowel snelheid als richting) en meerdere hoogstes tot ~3000m, luchttemperatuur op 2m, luchtdruk op MSL (mean sea level), relatieve vochtigheid op 2m, veschillende neerslag parameters, wolkenbasis hoogte, zicht, menglaag hoogte, absolute opwaartse heliciteit, stijgbeweging (thermische snelheid), W*/U* (genormalieerde thermiek parameter, verticale snelheidschaal over horizontale snelheidsschaal), wet bulb globe temperature (let op: deze outputparameter is experimenteel; houd er rekening mee dat deze op elk moment kan worden gewijzigd, stopgezet of verwijderd zonder voorafgaande kennisgeving). De tijdresolutie van de verwachting is 1 uur, met een verwachtingshorizon van 60 uur.
