Clouds - calibrated attenuated backscatter profiles from CHM15k ceilometers in the KNMI observation network, 5 minute averaged data
This dataset contains calibrated attenuated backscatter profiles from the CHM15k ceilometer, a single-wavelength, automatic operating at 1064 nm. It includes calibrated, unvalidated daily aggregated files at five sites: Cabauw, De Kooy Airport, Groningen Airport Eelde, Maastricht Airport en Vlissingen. Level 2 data processing is performed by the EUMETNET E-PROFILE ALC data hub. Vertical resolution: 30 m, time resolution: 5 minutes.

Due to technical issues, Level 2 data for the CHM15k instruments in the nationwide ceilometer network are unavailable for the period 16 June to 13 July 2026. We are currently investigating whether the missing data can be recovered and made available at a later stage.
