LOFAR (Omgevingsvisie 2014) (historie)
Door Provinciale Staten van Drenthe op 2 juli 2014 vastgestelde versie van LOFAR.De afgelopen jaren heeft ASTRON een nieuwe radiotelescoop gebouwd: LOFAR (Low Frequency Array). LOFAR bestaat uit enkele duizenden kleine antennes die geclusterd zijn geplaatst in het centrale LOFAR-gebied bij Exloo en Buinen en in buitenstations in zowel Drenthe, Groningen, Fryslan als Overijssel. Komt voor in kaart 1: Visie; kaart 4: Robuust sociaal-economisch systeem; kaart 7: Zoekgebied grootschalige windenergie.
