Climatological radar rainfall dataset of 1 hour precipitation depths at a 1 km grid, which have been adjusted employing validated and complete rain gauge data from both KNMI rain gauge networks. This dataset is updated once a month providing data up to a few months ago.

Klimatologische radardataset van 1 uur neerslagsommen op een grid van 1 km, die zijn gecorrigeerd met gevalideerde en complete data van beide KNMI-regenmeternetwerken. Deze dataset wordt een keer per maand bijgewerkt met data tot enkele maanden terug.

Climatological radar rainfall dataset of 1-h precipitation depths, which have been adjusted employing validated and complete rain gauge data from both KNMI rain gauge networks. Based on the composites of radar reflectivities from both KNMI weather radars (De Bilt at 52.103 degrees N, 5.179 degrees E and Den Helder at 52.955 degrees N, 4.79 degrees E). The time in the file name is the time of the end of the observation. Data are available for the entire land surface of the Netherlands. Pixels have 1 km spatial resolution. The radar in De Bilt stopped contributing to the composite in the course of January 2017. It was replaced by a new radar in Herwijnen. Hence, as of the end of January 2017 the composites are based on the data from both new KNMI weather radars (Den Helder at 52.955 degrees N, 4.79 degrees E and Herwijnen at 5.1381 degrees N, 51.8369 degrees E). From 19 September 2016 till the end of January 2017, one, two or even three radars may contribute to the composite. This dataset is also available in KNMI HDF5 format via KNMI Data Platform. Note that the time in the file name is always the time of the end of the observation in UTC.

Gebaseerd op de composieten van radarreflectiviteiten van beide KNMI-weerradars (De Bilt op 52,103 graden NB, 5,179 graden OL en Den Helder op 52,955 graden NB, 4,79 graden OL). De tijd in de bestandsnaam is de eindtijd van waarneming. Data zijn beschikbaar voor het gehele landoppervlak van Nederland. Pixels hebben een ruimtelijke resolutie van 1 km. In de loop van januari 2017 stopte de radar in De Bilt. Hij is vervangen door een nieuwe radar in Herwijnen. Sinds eind januari 2017 zijn de composieten gebaseerd op de data van beide nieuwe KNMI-weerradars (Den Helder op 52,955 graden NB, 4,79 graden OL en Herwijnen op 51,8369 graden NB, 5,1381 graden OL). Vanaf 19 september 2016 tot en met eind januari 2017 hebben een, twee of zelfs drie radars bijgedragen aan het composiet. Deze dataset is ook in KNMI HDF5 formaat beschikbaar via KNMI Data Platform. NB: De tijd in de bestandsnaam is altijd de eindtijd van de meting in UTC.
