3D radar composite and derived products
3D radarcomposiet en afgeleide producten

Realtime 3D radar composite that covers a wide area over the Netherlands and its direct surroundings. The composite is constructed based on data from Dutch, Belgian and German radars. From the 3D composite, various products are derived, including maximum reflectivity (ZMAX), Vertically Integrated Liquid (VIL), Vertically Integrated Ice (VII) and hail parameters (MEHS and POSH).

Realtime 3D radar composiet dat een groot gebied over Nederland en directe omgeving bestrijkt. Het composiet is opgebouwd op basis van data van Nederlandse, Belgische en Duitse radars. Uit het 3D composiet worden diverse producten afgeleid, waaronder maximale reflectiviteit (ZMAX), Vertically Integrated Liquid (VIL), Vertically Integrated Ice (VII) en hagelparameters (MEHS en POSH).

Data is produced using raw volumetric radar data from Dutch, Belgian and German radar sites. For certain derived parameters additional data from the ECMWF NWP model is used.

Data wordt gegenereerd op basis van ruwe volumetrische radardata van Nederlandse, Belgische en Duitse radars. Voor sommige afgeleide parameters wordt aanvullende data gebruikt van het ECMWF numerieke weermodel.
