Seamless precipitation forecast - 5 minute exceedance probabilities over The Netherlands up to 6 hours ahead
Naadloze neerslag verwachting - 5 minuten overschrijdingskansen over Nederland tot 6 uur vooruit

PILOT: Seamless ensemble precipitation forecast probabilities up to 6 hours ahead, per 5 minutes, over the Netherlands. The forecast contains 72 time steps: +5 minutes to +360 minutes. Forecasted is the exceedance probabilities of 6 precipitation thresholds, on a grid of 1x1 km. The precipitation thresholds are 0.1, 0.3, 1, 3, 10, and 30 mm/h. The forecast is made with an experimental KNMI implementation of pySTEPS ( https://pysteps.github.io). The forecast is initiated with the KNMI 5-minute real-time precipitation accumulation product (RTCOR-5m) and the HARMONIE-AROME Cy43 ensemble forecast.

NOTE: As this data product is currently in a pilot phase, please be aware that it may undergo changes or be discontinued at any time without prior notice. This pilot will last until January 31st 2026 at the latest.

PILOT: Seamless ensemble neerslag kansverwachting tot 6 uur vooruit per 5 minuten over Nederland. Er worden 72 tijdstappen geleverd: +5 minuten tot en met +360 minuten. Het betreft de verwachte overschrijdingskansen van 6 drempelwaarden, op een raster van 1x1 km. De drempelwaarden zijn 0.1, 0.3, 1, 3, 10, en 30 mm/h. De verwachting wordt gemaakt met een experimentele KNMI-implementatie van pySTEPS ( https://pysteps.github.io). Het vertrekpunt van de verwachting is het KNMI 5-minuten realtime neerslagaccumulatieproduct (RTCOR-5m) en de HARMONIE-AROME Cy43 ensemble verwachting.

BELANGRIJK: Dit dataproduct is onderdeel van een pilotfase. Houd er rekening mee dat het op elk gewenst moment kan worden gewijzigd of zelfs stopgezet zonder voorafgaande mededeling. Deze pilot duurt uiterlijk tot 31 januari 2026.
